Here is where I
put
miscellaneous translations for which either I don't know the original
source, or there are few enough of them that they don't merit their own
page.
Here's a cute
little series of
apparently fan-created comics. I don't know the original artist or URL
from whence they came. Perhaps if you do know the source, or if you
have any other original pics from this series, you could inform me. I
like to call this one "Jum Sakurada - God's Gift to Dolls".
This series is
apparently called "Megu-Gin" (めぐ銀), and the originals can
be found at Futabara
Wotome (ふたばらヲトメ
) . It seems to be something of an upload dump site, so I'm not sure if
it's the original artist's home page or not. Several other comics in
the series have been translated by other individuals on the
English-language image boards. Thanks to DK for the link!
6/14/2006: Thanks
again to site readers who have pointed out the link to the page
on Futabara Wotome where these now seem to have been consolidated. For
now, this is the most complete archive that I've seen of these comics,
although I could swear others in the series exist that are not located
there.
The artist "sanz"
has a lot of these cute little oekaki-style comics at the web site Hitori
Anthology.
Please forgive the poor graphic quality on these translations, since
the originals are quite small and I had to upsize them to get the
English text to fit...
From a caption
that was on one
of these, it seems the title is "JUM and His Merry Companions". I
wonder if there exists a seventh page somewhere, featuring a white fur
seal with an eyepatch...
Somewhere in the
dark recesses
of the internet, I recently found a bunch more in this series to add to
the one that had been sitting on this page for a long time. So I guess
they merit at least their own subsection now. The title is "Don't Trust
a Prince on a White Horse". The source, unfortunately, remains unknown.
Haru at PRIMAVERA seems to have
created a couple of these comics to honor Shino, the artist in charge
of the web site Ponjiyuusu
(home of Perverted Jun and other comics).
One of my
favorite fan-artists is this person who has drawn many
pictures of
adult human Rozen Maidens with "healthy" figures. I wish he or she
created more actual comics based on this concept, but so far I've only
been able to find these two images. Here the girls are speculating
about the nature of the "Rozen Maiden Special Edition", which has been
announced for some time but the nature of which still remains unclear.
These are from a
short (or
incomplete?) series called "Bara-rin", relayed to me by a reader of
this site. I don't know the original source. Apparently the premise is
that a different combination of Rozen Maiden dolls took up residence at
his house instead of Shinku et al.
The as-yet short
web comic
"Azumanga Maiden" can be found at the web site Amica. Hopefully it will
be continued and I can put the translations on its own page.
These are the
miscellaneous-among-miscellaneous, single strips for which I don't know
the original artist and which don't seem to be part of a recognizable
series.
